Healthy snacks and zero waste are two big goals around here. We have a loooong way to go to get to the zero waste part, but we do try to avoid buying pre-packaged snacks whenever possible.
One of my favorite snacks, especially for kids after school is a yogurt parfait bar. I will also eat one for lunch sometimes, using Bulgarian yogurt, fresh fruit, and flax seeds. My kids prefer toasted coconut, mini dark chocolate chips, fresh fruit, and finely chopped almonds.
