In the last 24 hours, I have spent 6 hours attending a conference, 4 hours coding, 2 hours on a conference call, and squeezed working out, eating, and networking in between. Oh and sleeping. I did that, too.
I spent 0 time thinking about my bra.
This is actually a really big deal because I hate bra shopping so much, that I will put up with an underwire sticking into my side.
SO MUCH, that I probably spent 3 minutes every hour of my ski trip last week thinking about not thinking about how uncomfortable I was.
I love clothes, but I don’t have hours to shop and bra shopping is a whole different thing. I know my size, until I step into ahem, the major bra retailer, and suddenly I have no idea what my size actually is. And, do I actually really need a sheer bra or one with rhinestones? What did I come in for again? Why won’t the straight man who works there move away from folding the thongs so that I can see if I need some of those?
While I was driving to the mountains last week, I listened to a podcast called that included a segment about a bra company called Harper and Wilde. Free shipping, free home try-on, basic fabrics, and no fuss.
When my underwire jabbed me painfully as I was unloading my car, I decided to sign up.
A few days later, as I packed for my work conference, the Harper and Wilde box arrived. I didn’t even open it until I got to my hotel later that day.
This is what I ordered.
Cute right? But you know, still practical.
And that is how I surprised myself with the thought at 4:40 in the middle of a talk on analytics and tracking conversion rates, that I hadn’t given one thought to my bra all day. In fact, I actually had to ask myself if I had remembered to put on a bra. Was I actually at a work conference without a bra?
No, I did not forget. I was even wearing the pushup model from Harper and Wilde.
Just a note – I’m not getting paid for this post. I had to share because I feel like I have found the greatest subscription box of all time, and you need it!
